Although Terraclean is a fairly recent process it does indeed sound like a God send, black smoke & rough idling gone & it drives smoother. How much better does it get? I believe BuckMr2 has a high opinion of Terraclean as well.
    All for 80.00 Inc. VAT.

Lots of people experience black smoke Etc. Sometimes cleared by using Millers or other fuel additives, but if that doesn't do it then this sounds like the nuclear option. Very interesting Post, thanks for the recommendation.

I'm also very pleased with the Terradiesel treatment that my XJ had done and was suprised at how much carbon deposits were blown out of the exhaust during the decarbing process especially after the soaking stage.

I'm wondering what all the carbon might do to your cats - especially on a petrol, any thoughts?

I'm currently thinking of getting this done on my 120k miler 4.0 straight six but my last hydrocarbon reading was 60. Already clean enough ey? I think petrol engines are generally cleaner?
When I had my x350 2.7tdvi, the dealer I bought it from had used bog standard 5w30 oil instead of the 'good stuff'(castrol), and that had the almost immediate effect(1000 miles) of blocking up the DPF. I reckon once an engine is clean, a cleaner oil and regular changes should keep it that way. I change my oil every 5k.

No it does not, has anyone known redex to do anything to clean the fuel system? Some people love the stuff but some say a waste of time. Might work out cheaper in the long run to terraclean now.
