Cabin air filter

Hi. Does anybody know where the cabin air filter is located on my 98 xjr. Its just that i'd read a thread that mentioned cabin air filter and it got me thinking ive not checked or changed mine ever and i've owned the car for a year now and god knows the last time it was checked or changed. if you have them, they are mounted under the windscreen scuttle, its made up of four separate parts to fill the holes you can see in the panel under the scuttle,

now for the problems,

they are no longer available, no one makes them , and you cant adapt any others to fit,

btw, if you are lucky enough to have them, as they were only provided to customers who requested them, you can remove them and gently wash them out, , and dry naturally

Thanks for that BB. in that case it sounds as though they were designed not to be fiddled with or changed so i think ill leave them where they are. :wink:
