    Hydraulic rear suspension

Hi All can anyone help me with this problem.? It is a friend of mine in the USA that has the car.

how do i release the excess pressure in the rear hydraulic suspension system? the system is fully extended
the shocks are all the way up
    and wont come down
they only made this system in two years 88 and 89, mine's an 89 xj6, 3.6 ltr

    Thanks

Clive.. not too sure if this will help.. Haynes Manual Sec 10..2
depressurise the system by pumping the brake pedal until it feels hard to push (this dissipates the pressure inside the accumulator)

Or maybe i should look at the date posted...
