Here's a selection to choose from, think Buck has a fridge in the boot too.

In my Mercedes I have a built in fridge behind the rear armrest within which you can fit about 6 coke cans. It stays cool even when the car isnt in use.
Get my new XF in April. Of course it doesnt have a fridge but I was wondering, does it have a 12v socket in the boot and if so can you buy a portable fridge from anywhere which would fit in the boot and not take up much space BUT stay cold when the engine is off?

Ah yes looks good. Can you have a permanant feed to it though without killing the battery?

And remember, size isn't everything. We picked up a Campingaz cooler at a French hypermarket, similar to this http://www.minicoolers.co.uk/products/waeco/tf14.htm and although it's small, it keeps things seriously cool. A lot of them are only specified to 15 deg C below ambient which on a hot day is going to give you lukewarm Coke - yuk!

Mine does have one but dont know about the XF.If it doesnt you will be able to buy a 12V socket kit from the dealer like I did.On the X type the connection in the boot is a permanet live.I plugged my fridge in and next moring car wouldnt start (flat battery) so got a device that goes between the fridge and the 12V power socket to cut off power if battery starts to go flat.
Since writing the above I checked at http://www.ownerinfo.jaguar.com/extf...prod/index.jsp there is no accessory kit shown for the XF so it may well be fitted as standard.

What the hell... why didn't I think of this before? All I need is somewhere to plug my laptop in and a portable poker table and I never need go home again.
How do you stop the fridge moving around in the boot?
Oh, what's diesel?
Everyone is entitled to an opinion. It just so happens that mine is the right one.
